GGD型電櫃是一種安全、經濟、合理、可靠的新型低壓配電櫃。電櫃的主開關採用框架開關、塑殼開關等；旋轉操作式刀開關HD13BX和HS13BX，為GGD型電櫃的專用設計，故大大提高了主電路的動穩定能力及安全性能。
櫃體採用通用櫃的形式，構架用8MF冷彎型鋼局部焊接組裝而成。
通用櫃的零部件按模組原理設計，並有20mm模數的安裝孔，通用係數高。
適用於發電廠、變電站、廠礦企業等電力用戶的交流50Hz、額定工作電壓380V(660V)，額點工作電流至3150A的配電系統，作為動力、照明及配電設備的電能轉換、分配與控制之用。
